Hello and welcome! I’m Ms. April, the Owner and Primary Care Provider at A New Day Academy, where early learning meets warmth, creativity, and excellence. I’m honored you’re considering partnering with me on your child’s growth journey.

Who I Am

I’m a proud mom of two incredible boys, one fur baby (toy poodle), and a lifelong advocate for children’s education, creativity, and confidence. With over 15 years of childcare experience, my roots run deep—I began in my mother’s in-home daycare, where I learned the art of nurturing, teaching, and leading with both structure and love. Since 2017, I have operated my own program, bringing a blend of tradition and innovation to every child who walks through my doors.

I’m currently pursuing a degree in Liberal Arts with an educational background in Early Childhood Education, Philosophy and Child Psychology; a combination that fuels the heart of ANDA: developing bright minds, strong character, and curious thinkers. I believe children deserve an environment where they can explore boldly, question freely, and grow into compassionate, confident young leaders.

Outside the classroom, I’m a creative spirit. I love introducing my children—and my daycare kiddos—to new foods, arts, cultural experiences, music, and little adventures that expand their worldview. Learning happens everywhere, and I make sure our days reflect that truth.

Licensed by the State of Kansas (KDHE), City of Park City, and City of Wichita
Certified in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and Asthma Care
Trained and compliant with multiple state, local, and federal childcare standards
